Hi, Jack Zufelt here.

I love helping others and I feel it is a mission from above to use my God given talents, wisdom and knowledge to bless others. My weekend retreats do that in a very BIG way.

Here is a poem written by a graduate of The Zufelt Experience. (TZE)

Read it and you will see why it may be exactly what you are searching for so you can break free, soar and maximize your life’s happiness and joy!

This Zufelt Experience has changed some lives

For singles, kids, husbands and wives

The weekend began with obstacles, questions and fears,

We punched through boxes had connections and tears.

Be open, honest, willing to grow and to whatever it takes!

What a huge difference a Zufelt Experience makes!

Jack is powerful, intelligent, gentle and kind,

He has empowered so many with his genius mind;

He creates an environment that is safe and true;

He helped find core desires and saved marriages too

We’ve learned to make choices, take risks, change and trust;

Be open and honest and to what we must.

He speaks the truth and as a mentor he’s in the know

He’s a miracle worker, magician, minister and knows how to make dough

When the Zufelt Experience is offered, catch a train, plane or car

Make a decision to come, whether it is near or if it’s far;

Borrow the money use credit just do what it takes

You too will say what a difference Jack Zufelt makes.

Go to: http://www.thezufeltexperience and register right away.

Call me if you want to discuss how it can help you accelerate your ability to make things happen. 303 741-9025

Jack Zufelt

P.S. Though I like earning it, money is NOT my god so I don’t limit my ability to help others based on their ability to pay. Call me if this is an issue. 303 741-9025.

What is all the chatter and buzz about this thing called TZE?

TZE? People all over the world are asking, “What in the world IS TZE???”

It is still one of the world’s best kept secrets. No more! Now, with the help of the internet, I am telling millions what it is and why it is so valuable to anyone who gets to attend.

Throngs of motivated people from all walks of life have attended my famous, TZE weekend retreats! They come from all over the world including Italy, Singapore, Norway, England, Australia and Canada.

TZE is an acronym for The Zufelt Experience….a one of a kind event designed to create massive change and increased ability. You become the kind of person who can create MEGA success in your life, SUPER FAST! Just 2.5 days to be exact!

I have documented proof that in just two and a half days I can impact you personally in a way that will move you to continued, sustained perpetual action, focus and achievement that, frankly, is incomparable to any other teacher, trainer or expert you can engage at any price anywhere in the world.

That may sound like a brash, bold, arrogant statement – I am none of those– I think I am humble, but I am super confident, not just about myself, but about the power, simplicity and predictability and the certainness of the results of my TZE weekend retreat.

At TZE we identify your invisible barriers that are getting in the way of your success….then we destroy them. Like blowing up a dam! Once that is done you will be able to move forward at any pace that you want!

We all have one or more invisible barriers. I have identified 55.

Here are just a few:

not knowing WHY you are not as successful although you keep trying,

lack of confidence

procrastination

low self-esteem,

wrong or limiting paradigms

being a perfectionist

wanting more but not know how to make it happen

fear

no/low passion

self doubt

marriage issues of all kinds

Whatever YOUR invisible barriers are, we will destroy them with laser focus and efficiency. Only then can you achieve the success you long for and deserve….without being held back by an invisible barrier. All this in just 2.5 days? Yes! Guaranteed!

Results speak for themselves. See the testimonials at the TZE website. I have been referred to as the Wizard of Awes because of the AWEsome the benefits attendees get at these retreats!

It is an exclusive weekend limited to 20 paid students. I keep the TZE retreat small enough for me to be able to provide everyone with what THEY individually need to create massive success. So register right away.

I am so confident that I can do this for anyone that I offer a 100% Money back guarantee!

Learn more about TZE and register at http://www.TheZufeltExperience.com

It is appropriate for you to call me and talk to me personally (not a sales agent) and ask any questions you might have. Call me at 303 741-0925.

And do ya be warin a bit o’ green taday?

Leprechauns are those mischievous, wispy little magical guys who are famous for two things; mending shoes and pots of gold supposedly hidden at the base of rainbows. The legend goes that if you can capture a leprechaun you get all his gold.
People sent out of their way to set all kinds of traps to try and catch one. But, alas, the sneaky little fellows are very clever and mischievous, not easily fooled so catching one is rare!

They get mad and play tricks on the one who set the trap for leprechaun mischief knows no boundaries! I’ve read where they turn furniture upside down, put rice in your cereal box, turn your milk green and throw your cloths on the floor and lots of other things.

What a fun myth. I remember serving green pancakes and green milk to my children on St. Patrick’s Day. The looks on their faces was priceless. They tasted the same but the green food coloring I used changed the appearance so much they turned their little noses up at them.

Unless you actually catch a Leprechaun and get all that gold, Luck-o-the-Irish is a myth too. In fact, luck in genreal is a myth. Example, many people leave their financial future up to “luck”. Some proof of that are the billions spent every year on lottery tickets…and most is spent by those who don’t have the money to gamble at all. Even people scraping by on welfare use money from the government to by lotto tickets….hoping to get “lucky”.

If you think that luck is the reason people succeed then you have bought into a glaring lie. I’m sure you have heard the statement, “The harder I work the luckier I get”. I’d add this… “The smarter you work the luckier you get”.

Don’t leave your happiness or your income up to catching that leprechaun or “luck”. Learn about and embrace the three things that you need to be successful; The first on is clearly defined Core Desires and the second one is find someone who can show you how to get it…a mentor then do what they tell you to do. Do those three things in every area of your life and you will be one “lucky” person.

One of the reasons I like this day is that because of the freedoms, including political ones,

that we enjoy in this country, almost any US citizen can become the president! People

president’s chair someone always gets that honor. Some weren’t seen as very qualified

but they were still voted in because of their powerful campaigns and promises made to

the people.

Most were winners, honorable men who made a BIG and positive difference in this

country and around the world. Sadly, some were losers who brought disgrace to the

office. But still, even if their reputation was sullied by inappropriate actions, viewpoints

or morals that we disagree with, they were, and are still are, the President of the United

States! And only a few ever achieve that highest of positions in America!

That is, indeed, a feat worth acknowledging. Good or not so good, all presidents make

history and that is something to take note of on President’s Day. And let’s remember that

presidents are not dictators so they don’t control the future of the country by themselves.

The House and the Senate are actually the ones who shape the destiny of a bill or a law.

Or worse yet, seeing it celebrated with a mattress sales and big “sale” promotions on a myriad of products from automobiles to furniture.

President’s Day began in 1796. It was originally created to celebrate the birthday of George Washington, the first United States president but now the holiday encompasses tributes to all past presidents.

One of the reasons I like this day is that because of the freedoms, including political ones, that we enjoy in this country, almost any US citizen can become the president!

People from all walks of life, from businessmen to a movie star, poor and rich have sat in the Oval office with the title of President.

Though there are often vast differences of opinion about who should occupy the president’s chair someone always gets that honor. Some weren’t seen as very qualified but they were still voted in because of their powerful campaigns and promises made to

the people.

Most were winners, honorable men who made a BIG and positive difference in this country and around the world. Sadly, some were losers who brought disgrace to the office. But still, even if their reputation was sullied by inappropriate actions, viewpoints

or morals that we disagree with, they were, and are still are, the President of the UnitedStates!

And only a few ever achieve that highest of positions in America!

That is, indeed, a feat worth acknowledging. Good or not so good, all presidents make history and that is something to take note of on President’s Day. And let’s remember that presidents are not dictators so they don’t control the future of the country by themselves.

The House and the Senate are actually the ones who shape the destiny of a bill or a law. The president is to lead and inspire and they do that for good or for not so good.

This is also a great time to teach your kids about our presidents and what they have done for our country. In some cases you will teach them what some did to our country as well so that they are aware of how important carefully choosing a president is. Teach them to vote in every election so that they can put people into office who reflect the moral values and beliefs that make this country strong and the land of milk and honey that millions upon millions want to immigrate to.

My hat is off to all who aspired to be the President of the United States and then made it happen. THAT is an amazing thing to accomplish!

Your Conquering Force is your built in ability to act effectively to get what you seek by overcoming all obstacles in your way. The unstoppable Conquering Force already resides within you — within everyone, for that matter. It has been with you since the day you were born. In fact, the reason why we humans have accomplished anything to date — including learning to walk, talk, tie our shoes, drive a car, swim, ski, play an instrument or sing, build houses, build pyramids, create computers, eradicate diseases, put a man on the moon, etc. — was because of the Conquering Force was at full power.

Everything that anyone has accomplished at any point in his or her life serves as irrefutable evidence that they already have the Conquering Force within them and that it was a Core Desire of theirs to accomplish that which they succeeded in doing.

The question isn’t do you have it. The real question is; “Where is the switch?” The switch to flip on your conquering Force is Core Desires. Therein lies a big problem. 97% can’t accurately identify what theirs are.

That’s why I created the audio program titled, How To Use The Conquering Force Within You and wrote the book The DNA of Success which became a best seller and was published in 15 languages.

Although it’s one of your greatest gifts, if you are like most people, you probably haven’t given it much thought let alone identify it and name it. And if you are oblivious or only vaguely aware of its awesome power you are probably not getting maximum usage out of it. You probably aren’t plugging into it as often as you could. It’s like electricity in the wall of your home. You don’t get the benefit of it. You can plug a lamp into the wall socket and you get light. If you don’t plug into it is just sits there…latent energy. Untapped; Wasted.

Some people constantly tap into their Conquering Force and utilize it in all areas. I know I do. I have little doubt that upon understanding all there is to know about this amazing Conquering Force that resides within you, you’ll begin doing the same. Then you will rank among those who are enjoying life at its fullest and be among the ones who have or are getting what they want.

If you want to quit searching for success and want to start LIVING a SUCCESSFUL life then you’ve got to get ‘How To Use The Conquering Force Within You’ at:
http://budurl.com/rhv2

This is the month for Thanksgiving and I love it! Let’s be thank FULL for our abundant lives. And we can be grateful for the things we perceive as bad. Is that possible? Can we really say thank you for that bad thing that happened today or the challenges and problems in our lives? Can we honestly be thankful when we got the short end of the deal? Or worse yet we got hurt? Yes we can!

The Bible says we should be thankful in ALL things so it must be possible and there must be value in doing that! Though it doesn’t make it any easier it does give us a happier, healthier outlook on life! Besides, who’s to say what is good and what is bad?

Here is a parable to help us understand why it is wise to be thankful in ALL things, good and not so good at the time…no matter what.

Happy Thanksgiving

An old man lived in the country with his family. One night their only mare broke out of her stable and ran away into the hills. The neighbors consoled the old man and this family, “What bad luck that you only horse has run away.” To that the old man, in his wisdom, replied, “Who’s to say what is good and what is bad?”

A few days later, the mare returned bringing with her five stallions. The neighbors came again, this time celebrating, “What good fortune! How lucky you are!” the old man replied, “Who’s to say what is good and what is bad?”

Within a few weeks the eldest son of the family was breaking one of the stallions when he was thrown off and seriously injured….a badly broken leg. The neighbors came once again and said, “What misfortune. Here it is the beginning of the planting season and you’ve lost the help of your eldest son.” To that old man replied, Good luck bad luck, who’s to know?

A short time later the army came through the country side looking to all able-bodied young men to draft into the army. When they learned of the injured son they passed on by the home of this family. The neighbors, in their fickle minded way returned once more, “What good fortune that your son does not have to go to war.” The man in his wisdom replied, “Who’s to say what is good and what is bad?”

The moral of this story is that we can’t always see the good that will come from what we think of as “bad” any more than we can see the crop from the seed we plant or the rainbow before the storm passes.

This month especially, let’s keep our eyes open wide so they can see all the great blessings and things we have to be thankful for. At the same time let’s keep our minds and hearts open to the goodness that will yet come and be thank FULL for this life’s experiences for they are all for our personal growth and benefit.

The Secret? Here is the truth– there is no secret! Many, top experts in the field of human development and achievement, including me disagree with the popular concepts taught in the movie, “The Secret”. We refused to have anything to do with that movie and movement once we learned what it was all about.

Why do we feel that way? Simple; the concept is basically flawed. Yes there are some good things taught there but the basic premise is untrue. If you have a recipe for a cake and all but one of the 10 ingredients are right but one is not, will your cake turn out? No. Would you eat the cake if you knew one of the ingredients was dog poo? Of course not.

Just because many keep touting something as true causing many to believe it, doesn’t make it true. This is exactly what Lenin, the Russian communist and leader who used force and terror to bring

What is the REAL Secret?

about his nefarious plans, taught. He said that, “A lie told often enough becomes truth.” In other words the people begin to believe it as if it is the truth but nevertheless it is still a lie.

That problem does not just apply to that movie. Amazingly, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, some of the most popular speakers and trainers in the world continue to say that if you write down your goals they will happen and if you don’t they won’t. They actually say things like, “Put your goals in writing. If you can’t put in on a sheet of paper you probably can’t do it.” That is simply a lie born of ignorance. This is the kind of false propaganda that has been foisted on the public for well over a half century. And, over time, people began to believe it.

I found something else interesting. When people didn’t achieve all their goals they tend to redouble their efforts and, again, write down goals (only this time with even more determination to “try harder”). Or, Believing perhaps they had set their goals to high, they lower them hoping this will solve the problem and make them successful this time around. Never did they wonder or consider if the source of the goal setting advice was wrong. They always assume the reason for their failure lies with themselves. After the experts and gurus said it was the way to succeed and who can argue with them? Right? Wrong!

There is another way to create success that has been around long before the self-help movement started in the 1940s. I learned about almost by accident. You see, I became very successful because of it and was asked to share my “secret”. Back then I didn’t know what it was I just :did it”. So I analyzed my life’s experience and discovered the true cause of all achievement. I determined that this was what the world needed to know and a speaking career was born. Now my message is taught all over the world; it’s in a #1 best selling book called the DNA of Success, which is now in 15 languages and audio programs both of which sell worldwide.

True story: On December 7, a Grand Rapids man awoke to find himself surrounded by acrid, black smoke. He and his wife, who both worked night shifts, had been napping downstairs while their two young children played upstairs.

“Where are the kids?” the man yelled.

“They’re upstairs!” his wife answered hysterically. “They’re not answering!”

The staircase was utterly invisible in the churning smoke. Flames were engulfing the house. And the two children were out of sight and silent. The man had to make a choice.

He decided it was important to him to save his children. So, it being so close to the holidays and all, he sat down and wrote out a New Year’s Resolution:

q Save my children from the fire.

Just seeing the words on paper encouraged him, so he set about breaking it into baby steps:

Cover face with something.

Find the bottom of the steps . . .

When he was finished with his baby steps, he pondered for awhile, chewing on the end of his pencil. Then he wrote out his reward for completing each of the baby steps, just to keep him motivated:

Complete Baby Step One, I get to download five songs for my mp3 player.

Complete Baby Step Two . . . .

All right; I admit. The last part of the story is what my dad would have called Hogwash!

The beginning of the story is true – the couple awoke to realize their kids were upstairs in the burning house. But of course the guy didn’t make a New Year’s Resolution. He didn’t think about rewards. In fact, he didn’t think at all! He groped his way to the stairs, staggered up to the second floor and searched until he found the two little boys, huddled in terror in a corner. Then he grabbed one each under an arm and ran for the stairs and the exit.

Later, Jonathan Brito told reporters: “If I’ve got to jump through fire to save my kids’ lives, that’s what I’m going to do.” In fact, he even went back into the house one more time and brought out the family dog.

Why? Why would he risk his life to go farther into that burning house? Why didn’t he have to think about it or make a conscious decision?

He didn’t need to make a resolution, because his kids were a Core Desire. He loved his children. He didn’t need to go through a self-transformation, because he was already in tune with his identity – he was defined in large part by the fact that he was their father.

We’re closing in fast on the end of 2009. Has it been a good year for you? Are you happy with where you are, what you’ve accomplished? If not, you might be considering making a self-transformation with one of the dreaded New Year’s Resolutions.

q I’m going to quit smoking

q I’m going to lose weight

q I’m going to start a new career

q I’m going to get rich!

Here, let’s see if you can finish this sentence:

New Year’s Resolution’s are made to be . . . .

Right!

Broken. Why did you know where I was going with that? Because New Year’s Resolutions don’t work. But, Jack, you might be saying. I have to do something. I can’t just stay like this, in this life, with these problems! Are you saying there’s no hope?

Absolutely not. In fact, I’m here to teach you how to finally, really make permanent positive changes in your life – how to flip that switch that will propel you to your Core Desires and unleash your Conquering Force that will get you there, wherever your personal “there” is.

We’re going to talk about this more in upcoming blogs, but in the meantime, if you’re ready to make real, lasting changes in your life, learn how now by accepting my gift to you this new years, a huge discount on my self-transformation products that are proven, truthful and effective.

If you like Christmas stories you will love this one! Enjoy!

Christmas Eve 1881

Pa never had much compassion for the lazy or those who squandered their means and then never had enough for the necessities. But for those who were genuinely in need, his heart was as big as all outdoors. It was from him that I learned the greatest joy in life comes from giving, not from receiving. It was Christmas Eve 1881. I was fifteen years old and feeling like the world had caved in on me because there just hadn’t been enough money to buy me the rifle that I’d wanted for Christmas. We did the chores early that night for some reason. I just figured Pa wanted a little extra time so we could read in the Bible.

After supper was over I took my boots off and stretched out in front of the fireplace and waited for Pa to get down the old Bible. I was still feeling sorry for myself and, to be honest, I wasn’t in much of a mood to read Scriptures. But Pa didn’t get the Bible, instead he bundled up again and went outside. I couldn’t figure it out because we had already done all the chores. I didn’t worry about it long though, I was too busy wallowing in self-pity.

Soon Pa came back in. It was a cold clear night out and there was ice in his beard. “Come on, Matt,” he said. “Bundle up good, it’s cold out tonight.” I was really upset then. Not only wasn’t I getting the rifle for Christmas, now Pa was dragging me out in the cold, and for no earthly reason that I could see. We’d already done all the chores, and I couldn’t think of anything else that needed doing, especially not on a night like this. But I knew Pa was not very patient at one dragging one’s feet when he’d told them to do something, so I got up and put my boots back on and got my cap, coat, and mittens. Ma gave me a mysterious smile as I opened the door to leave the house. Something was up, but I didn’t know what.

Outside, I became even more dismayed. There in front of the house was the work team, already hitched to the big sled. Whatever it was we were going to do wasn’t going to be a short, quick, little job. I could tell. We never hitched up this sled unless we were going to haul a big load. Pa was already up on the seat, reins in hand. I reluctantly climbed up beside him. The cold was already biting at me. I wasn’t happy. When I was on, Pa pulled the sled around the house and stopped in front of the woodshed. He got off and I followed. “I think we’ll put on the high sideboards,” he said. “Here, help me.” The high sideboards! It had been a bigger job than I wanted to do with just the low sideboards on, but whatever it was we were going to do would be a lot bigger with the high side boards on.

After we had exchanged the sideboards, Pa went into the woodshed and came out with an armload of wood – the wood I’d spent all summer hauling down from the mountain, and then all Fall sawing into blocks and splitting. What was he doing? Finally I said something. “Pa,” I asked, “what are you doing?” You been by the Widow Jensen’s lately?” he asked.

The Widow Jensen lived about two miles down the road. Her husband had died a year or so before and left her with three children, the oldest being eight. Sure, I’d been by, but so what?

Yeah,” I said, “Why?” “I rode by just today,” Pa said. “Little Jakey was out digging around in the woodpile trying to find a few chips. They’re out of wood, Matt.” That was all he said and then he turned and went back into the woodshed for an other armload of wood. I followed him. We loaded the sled so high that I began to wonder if the horses would be able to pull it. Finally, Pa called a halt to our loading, then we went to the smoke house and Pa took down a big ham and a side of bacon. He handed them to me and told me to put them in the sled and wait. When he returned he was carrying a sack of flour over his right shoulder and a smaller sack of something in his left hand. “What’s in the little sack?” I asked. Shoes, they’re out of shoes. Little Jakey just had gunny sacks wrapped around his feet when he was out in the woodpile this morning. I got the children a little candy too. It just wouldn’t be Christmas without a little candy.”

We rode the two miles to Widow Jensen’s pretty much in silence. I tried to think through what Pa was doing. We didn’t have much by worldly standards. Of course, we did have a big woodpile, though most of what was left now was still in the form of logs that I would have to saw into blocks and split before we could use it. We also had meat and flour, so we could spare that, but I knew we didn’t have any money, so why was Pa buying them shoes and candy? Really, why was he doing any of this? Widow Jensen had closer neighbors than us; it shouldn’t have been our concern.

We came in from the blind side of the Jensen house and unloaded the wood as quietly as possible, then we took the meat and flour and shoes to the door. We knocked. The door opened a crack and a timid voice said, “Who is it?” “Lucas Miles, Ma’am, and my son, Matt, could we come in for a bit?” Widow Jensen opened the door and let us in. She had a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. The children were wrapped in another and were sitting in front of the fireplace by a very small fire that hardly gave off any heat at all. Widow Jensen fumbled with a match and finally lit the lamp.

“We brought you a few things, Ma’am,” Pa said and set down the sack of flour. I put the meat on the table. Then Pa handed her the sack that had the shoes in it. She opened it hesitantly and took the shoes out one pair at a time. There was a pair for her and one for each of the children – sturdy shoes, the best, shoes that would last. I watched her carefully. She bit her lower lip to keep it from trembling and then tears filled her eyes and started running down her cheeks. She looked up at Pa like she wanted to say something, but it wouldn’t come out.

“We brought a load of wood too, Ma’am,” Pa said.

He turned to me and said, “Matt, go bring in enough to last awhile. Let’s get that fire up to size and heat this place up.” I wasn’t the same person when I went back out to bring in the wood. I had a big lump in my throat and as much as I hate to admit it, there were tears in my eyes too. In my mind I kept seeing those three kids huddled around the fireplace and their mother standing there with tears running down her cheeks with so much gratitude in her heart that she couldn’t speak. My heart swelled within me and a joy that I’d never known before, filled my soul. I had given at Christmas many times before, but never when it had made so much difference. I could see we were literally saving the lives of these people. I soon had the fire blazing and everyone’s spirits soared.

The kids started giggling when Pa handed them each a piece of candy and Widow Jensen looked on with a smile that probably hadn’t crossed her face for a long time. She finally turned to us. “God bless you,” she said. “I know the Lord has sent you. The children and I have been praying that he would send one of his angels to spare us.” In spite of myself, the lump returned to my throat and the tears welled up in my eyes again. I’d never thought of Pa in those exact terms before, but after Widow Jensen mentioned it I could see that it was probably true.

I was sure that a better man than Pa had never walked the earth. I started remembering all the times he had gone out of his way for Ma and me, and many others. The list seemed endless as I thought on it. Pa insisted that everyone try on the shoes before we left. I was amazed when they all fit and I wondered how he had known what sizes to get. Then I guessed that if he was on an errand for the Lord that the Lord would make sure he got the right sizes.

Tears were running down Widow Jensen’s face again when we stood up to leave. Pa took each of the kids in his big arms and gave them a hug. They clung to him and didn’t want us to go. I could see that they missed their Pa, and I was glad that I still had mine. At the door Pa turned to Widow Jensen and said, “The Mrs. wanted me to invite you and the children over for Christmas dinner tomorrow. The turkey will be more than the three of us can eat, and a man can get cantankerous if he has to eat turkey for too many meals. We’ll be by to get you about eleven. It’ll be nice to have some little ones around again. Matt, here, hasn’t been little for quite a spell.” I was the youngest. My two brothers and two sisters had all married and had moved away. Widow Jensen nodded and said, “Thank you, Brother Miles. I don’t have to say , May the Lord bless you, I know for certain that He will.”

Out on the sled I felt a warmth that came from deep within and I didn’t even notice the cold. When we had gone a ways, Pa turned to me and said, “Matt, I want you to know something. Your ma and me have been tucking a little money away here and there all year so we could buy that rifle for you, but we didn’t have quite enough. Then yesterday a man who owed me a little money from years back came by to make things square. Your ma and me were real excited, thinking that now we could get you that rifle, and I started into town this morning to do just that, but on the way I saw little Jakey out scratching in the woodpile with his feet wrapped in those gunny sacks and I knew what I had to do. Son, I spent the money for shoes and a little candy for those children. I hope you understand.”

I understood, and my eyes became wet with tears again. I understood very well, and I was so glad Pa had done it. Now the rifle seemed very low on my list of priorities. Pa had given me a lot more. He had given me the look on Widow Jensen’s face and the radiant smiles of her three children. For the rest of my life, Whenever I saw any of the Jensens, or split a block of wood, I remembered, and remembering brought back that same joy I felt riding home beside Pa that night. Pa had given me much more than a rifle that night, he had given me the best Christmas of my life. Don’t be too busy today. Share this inspiring message. God bless you!

Let’s all be an “angel” to someone this Christmas season and through out the coming year. If you have children include them so they can experience the joy of helping others.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Part 2: Stories abound that touch the soul and remind us of
what is really important.

Here is one by Claire Robinson:

Eric scuffled out of the run down apartment building. Again
he was alone. The streets looked like a long wet pieces of
black licorice under the street lights. As Eric walked he
began his escape into another world. He left his feelings of
loneliness and unhappiness and entered a world in which he
hungered to belong.

Why was Eric escaping? Eric was an orphan. His mother died
when he was two and his father was never around. His father
did provide food but he drank away the rest of his earnings.
His brothers and sisters had orphaned him too. They had run
away from the world which seemed to keep Eric a prisoner.
Education had orphaned him too. He just did not have the
clothes or the social acceptance to be a part of school. So
each day would grind painfully past with nothing to do or
live for.

This is why Eric was escaping; escaping into a world of
imagination, fun and fantasy. A world which treated him like
an equal. This wonderful place was the “Christmas World”.
He did not understand why people were so kind at this time
of year, but they were. He loved to walk the streets and see
the lights and Christmas scenes. He loved to hear the gaiety
and laughter of the holiday season. As Eric approached one
department store, he gazed in the window.

There was Santa in red and white sitting in his magnificent
throne giving candy to little children who would sit on his
lap. A tear welled up in his eye. He could never remember
Santa coming to his home. At age 12 he knew Santa was not
true but still he wished he could find a present under the
non-existent tree in the front room.

Eric became depressed in his beautiful world. No longer was
he equal. He was cold, helpless, hungry and feeling
abandoned. This feeling overwhelmed him and hurt so much
that he darted down an ally to get away from it.

As he was halfway down the ally he heard a soft, timid
whimpering sound. He stopped—looked around—and started to
walk on. He heard the noise again and began to move toward
it. There huddled in a dark corner was a cold wet stranded
puppy. It tired to growl to frighten off this giant
stranger, but it was too weak and hungry for any sound to
come out.

Eric picked up the puppy and began petting it. He became
aware of how frail his new found friend was. He felt a
quiver go through the puppy and realized it was time for a
decision. In his pocket was one of his most treasured
possessions, his lucky dime. He had found it in his mother’s
old purse. Though he never knew his mother he loved the dime
and knew it was lucky because it was once hers. Eric looked
at his dime and he looked at the quivering friend. He held
the puppy tight as he once again emerged into the Christmas
world. Quickly he paced off the two blocks to an old grocery
store. There in that store he left the only remembrance of
his mother and bought a carton of milk.

Carrying the puppy and clutching the milk he descended down
the dark ally. Sitting on the ground, he poured the ivory
liquid into his hand. AS tears trickled down his cheeks,
feelings of loneliness and abandonment vanished. A Strong
union of friendship was created as Eric whispered in the
puppy’s ear, “Puppy, I’ll be your Santa.”

There are many children who will not have much of a
Christmas, if any, this year. Let’s all decide to give to a
child this Christmas season so they can feel loved and be
uplifted no matter what their circumstances are. And
remember, it is not the cost of the present that matters it
is the love that is felt when we give from the heart.

I wrote the following poem after having discovered the
blessings that come to me for giving to others.

To have your spiritual needs met,
It is better to give than to get.
Reach out to those in need
And your soul you will feed.

I hope you all have a wonderful, fun and love filled
Christmas season!
