How to Be Successful: What Are The Keys to Making a Lot of Money?
“Okay, Jack,” you say. “I’ve got my Core Desires straight. I know where I’m headed, and I’ve got the Conquering Force to get there. I don’t need you to inspire me or convince me that I can get there. I need the facts, plain and simple: What do I need to do to make money?”
Here’s the blog you’ve been waiting for: The Key to Success.
- Know how to have your money working for you. I made a lot of my money with something called OPM: Other People’s Money. I invested other people’s money, and took in 25 – 40 percent of the return.
- Know when to have people working for you. Example: I wrote in a recent blog that we all have strengths and weaknesses. I can’t do my accounting – I don’t know how. So I delegate that job to someone who is qualified. Is that plain enough? Know when you need other people, find the best, and pay them fairly.
- Learn that cash is king. Let go of the myth that net worth makes you wealthy. Net worth isn’t legal tender – you need spendable, liquid cash. No matter how much your property is worth, it doesn’t pay your bills. Make good decisions when you invest to be sure you have streams of usable cash coming in every month.
- Avoid debt. You want to invest your money – that’s, increase the value. When you take on debt, you’ve just decreased the value of your money. This isn’t clear thinking. Isn’t that the opposite of where you want to go? As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “A man in debt is so far a slave.”
If you want to succeed, you have to know how to change your dreams into solid, tangible realities in your life. Learn the strategies and financial habits that bring you the results you’ve been looking for.
