Mentoring and the Success Attitude

A mentor is defined almost exclusively as a more experienced and trustworthy friend, colleague, counselor or teacher.  More completely however, a Mentor is much more than this, offering insight, perspective and knowledge geared specifically to the individual they are mentoring.

Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.”

Mentoring and the Success Attitude

Through our lives we will most likely have several mentors; a parent, teacher or coach who helped to guide you in achieving some aspiration or desire.  Whether directly or not, in some way those individuals were there to guide you and show you by their knowledge gained from their own past experience.

As old as the word’s origin in Greek Mythology, the role of mentor can be traced as far as the Aristotle who was tutor and mentor to Alexander the Great.

Whether it is for business, personal relationships, education, creating greater wealth, mentoring is one of the truly crucial steps to finding your core desires and reaching your Peak Performance.  Mentoring is also one of the primary reasons I began The Zufelt Experience.

The Zufelt Experience is a two and a half day event which I know has changed the lives of those who have attended in a dramatic and significant way.  A major aspect of this long weekend includes one on one mentoring for attendees, which is so crucial to the 4 steps to the “Success Attitude”.

At the age of twenty-eight, I approached a wealthy gentleman from my church to ask if he would mentor me. Even though I didn’t know him personally I told him I wanted to be like him and enjoy the same lifestyle he did.  He said yes and over the next 5 years using what he shared with me and by his guidance as my first business mentor, I created a substantial net worth He had the kind of life I wanted-time for his family and plenty of money.

As a protege I learned not only many key practices of how to reach the kind of success I was looking for, I also learned the value of having a mentor and knew even then that it was something I wanted to do.  I have a plaque on my wall on which are written the names of all the people I wish to thank for their part in my success.  In fact, mentoring means so much to me I have stated a desire to mentor 20 million people by 2020.

I will cover the importance of discovering your Core Desires, Direction, Proper Action and Persistence, the recipe to attaining Peak Performance on the webinar this Thursday.

You too can learn how to easily and even overnight, become a Peak Performer!

As mentoring is a significant facet of step 2, Direction and step 3, Proper Action in achieving and maintaining a “Success Attitude” and consequently becoming a Peak Performer I urge you to learn more!

  1. I think mentoring is like time traveling.
Your basically skipping huge learning steps, but obviously you have to somtimes go against the mentor to prove things to yourself, or as you have then adapted from their learning.. to then build on it more.

Unfortunatley I am too late for the webinar :(
