I promise – it’s as simple as that – I promise that if you learn the DNA of Success, you will find the success you dream of.

Skeptical?  If you’re just starting out on the path to your real future, you might very well be.  You might be saying, “Sure, Jack, easy for you to say.  You got breaks I can only dream of.”  (You’re not saying that if you read my biography).  You might be saying, “Jack, you’re talking about leveraging time and money and multiple streams of income.  Newsflash, buddy.  I’m just trying to keep the light bill paid.”

I know.  I’ve been there.  When money is tight, it can feel like it’s going to be tight forever.  Maybe you can’t see exactly how you’re going to dig yourself out . . . yet.  But if you just step out in faith and start following some simple steps to success, you’ll get there.

Step 1:   Know your Core Desires. I know – I keep saying that.  But if you don’t know what you want, how can you get it?  And once you know – really know – what you want, you’ll unleash your Conquering Force.  Look inward.  As Marcus Aurelius said, “Look well into thyself; there is a source of strength which will always spring up if thou wilt always look there.”

Step 2:  Leverage your income . . .  but first, stop leveraging your expenses.  Leveraging your income means, very simply, to use a little money to get something of much greater worth.  Leveraging your expenses, then, means to buy something worth a little and spend a lot; for example, buying $40 dress, but paying with a high-interest credit card so that you ultimately pay $65.  Your first step in getting out of financial crisis is to take control of your debt.  Check your credit report, so you know exactly where you stand.  Look into consolidation.  Call the credit card companies and ask for lower interest.  And then, most importantly, live within your means.  If you can’t, adjust your life until you can.

Step 3:  Do your homework. Remember the seven mistakes people make over and over?  One common mistake is to skip the research and strategy stage before taking a risk.  Know how the credit system works, what the current rates are, and possible pitfalls, before you even begin applying for a business loan.

Step 4:  Save money. Old fashioned advice, but it still applies.  Financial success isn’t about how much you earn, but about how much you keep.  Saving money takes a lot of discipline, especially in this consumer credit, have-it-all-right-now culture.  You should be putting away at least 10% of your income.  I know this is a tough adjustment, but there are some tricks that can get you there less painfully.  Arrange to have a percentage of your pay automatically routed to an account that isn’t easily accessible.  Use online bill payment systems to pay yourself with a monthly check sent to a savings account.  If 10% feels like too much, start with 1%, and increase the amount by one percentage point every month.

If you learn sound financial principles and incorporate them into your habits, you really can get out of the mud of debt and living paycheck to paycheck.  Don’t let your discouragement over your current circumstances mire you into permanent financial stress.  Follow these steps for success so that one day you can have the peace that comes from knowing that you can easily meet all of your obligations and beyond.

Find a niche- The internet is based on the theory that there is someone out there with an interest in whatever you have to offer since it offers direct access to thousands of people, your task is to find the niche that has not yet been explored and claim it.  Whether you have a unique service, product, or information to offer people on an unexplored niche; if you find an explored topic on the internet there is a lot of money in the development of the topic.

Copywriting & Marketing- At the base of every internet success is marketing online marketing requires an extensive amount of content.  Website owners are continuously hiring people who have the ability to write simple content to help enhance the marketability of their website and to help boost the rankings of their website.  Find a few content outsourcers or website owners in need of content and you can easily earn a decent amount of money on the side.

This is just one example of how you can make money online that may not first jump out at you, but there are many more including marketing yourself and your own skills online.  Keep in mind that for every website there is a website owner who may be in need of a designer, SEO marketer, virtual assistant, content provider, or a serious of other tasks.  If you have the skills to match any of the above tasks then you can start bidding on tasks and building a portfolio that shows you are a professional who knows how to get the job done and is worth your commission.

As you may have noticed, the above examples of where business opportunities are hiding all have one common trait, dedication.  It is quite possible to make money online, but it is not simply going to appear after a simple query in a search engine.  In order to make money you will have to be willing to expend some energy, but in exchange you will receive the pleasure of being your own boss and controlling your own workload and schedule which is not such a bad way to make money!

In order to make money, people need to be able to find your website online through a process known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  There are plenty of ways using SEO to increase the amount of people who visit your webpage, ranging from SEO friendly web design, content, and article submissions.  The equation is simple: Greater traffic = Greater sales revenue. Now, if this is not your talent, don’t feel bad. There is someone out there whose Core Desire is to do this very thing – all you have to do is go out and find them! Part of working in the online community means that you rarely have to do anything all by yourself.
• Offer a ‘free’ gift: Once you find your target audience and increase your SEO friendliness, you need to captivate the interest of your new traffic so that they return.  Offering a free gift – whether it be  tangible or a free PDF like an eBook, audio file, or MP3 is a great way to achieve this. You always want to let you know that you give great value at all times – whether it be through your free gift or your purchased product.
• Utilize social networking: Social networking is one of the best ways to get the word out about your business that will not cost you any more than your time.  Social media is increasingly becoming the number one marketing tool of online businesses, so use it to your advantage by taking an active role in your target audience’s social networks. I grew up on a Navajo Indian reservation as the only Caucasian boy in my class. Most of my classmates hated me – I was bullied and beat up almost every day. I was also too scared to fight back, causing my own father to reveal his disappointment in me again and again.

Is Lack of Emotional Maturity Keeping You From Success?

I was no good in school – I got bad grades, my teachers told me I was a failure and a troublemaker. I only passed my classes so my teachers wouldn’t have to deal with me anymore!

I became convinced that I was both dumb and a loser. College wasn’t even a consideration. I had no sense of self-worth or emotional maturity – nothing to indicate that I would ever do anything good or noteworthy.

But something happened that changed all that. It began with a chance encounter of a job offer as a karate studio manager when I was nineteen, and resulted in the revelation of my Core Desires. In the end, I didn’t have to let my past determine my future, because my real success came from within (and had nothing to do with outside circumstances).

As a human being, it’s natural for you to have the desire to be successful in order to enjoy your life in a more fulfilling manner. But when you haven’t achieved that kind of success, it makes you wonder – why does it seem like some people get everything they want without any effort at all? What are the qualities that they possess that you do not have?

The truth is there is no significant difference between you and those people. It is all in the mind – and it comes down to identifying your Core Desires – your real passions – and acting on them in such a way that uses what I call your Conquering Force to achieve success.

It is just not a cliché when people talk about the “power within” – come to think of it, you alone are the only one who can be held responsible for the way you live, and you alone have the capacity to change your world.

The mind creates negative thoughts easily, pushing up barriers and causing you to believe that you must remain stuck where you are. Giving in to this negativity prevents you from doing anything that can lead you to success – it becomes a vicious cycle that keeps you trapped.

Real emotional maturity that leads to success comes when you begin to identify your own barriers – whether it comes through self-examination or with the help of a mentor. Begin studying your own thoughts and observing the things you constantly tell yourself. What kinds of barriers are being thrown up in your path?

• I could never make that kind of money
• I’ll always be stuck in this job
• I can’t take those kinds of risks
• This always happens to me
• I’m too ugly to find a partner
• No one ever listens to me

On and on – if these are your thought patterns, you need to aim for a change.

Start to think about what you do want. What are you passionate about? What would you do if there were no limitations? Why would you do that particular thing? What is your greatest desire? Why? What would it mean if you attained the thing you most wanted?

As you ask yourself these questions, you’ll begin to start drilling down to what your real Core Desires are.

Don’t be afraid to take some time about it. In my years of mentoring people, I’ve seen the same thing over and over again – most people don’t know what it is that they really want. They might feel they know things on the surface, but the true Core of desire remains hidden – and it holds you back from really releasing your Conquering Force and being unstoppable.

Having clear focus gives you the confidence to be successful at any aspect of life, whether it be in your business, your relationships, your spirituality, or your leisure time – with confidence, you can take actions that will help you move forward and get you closer to success.

In the end, you must remember that success is not a chance, but a choice.
