We’re about to begin the blog series: Financial Freedom. Are you ready to dive into your Core Desire? Taste it. Feel it. Sense it.
I knew a young woman who made a very large mistake. Actually, she made a series of mistakes, some small, some large, all of which combined to give her a very messy life at a time when many of her friends were graduating college. “I’ve ruined everything,” she told me. “You’ve bought wisdom,” I told her.
My dad was disappointed in me. I got beat up almost every day at school – my Navajo classmates hated me for being Caucasian. My grades were bad. My teachers saw me as a trouble maker, destined for failure. Even I was convinced that I was a loser – too dumb to ever amount to anything. That’s my story. You know yours – why you can’t succeed, why you can’t have the future that you dream of. Those beautiful dreams always seem to be for other people, don’t they?
“After three years of working my guts trying to be an entrepreneur,” wrote one of my clients, “I would occasionally make $300 a month (once I even made $1000). I was running myself ragged.” We’re living in the land of opportunity, my friend. Most of us have access to virtually everything we need – education, opportunities, information, and support. No one said that it would be easy, but we were brought up with the idea that if you work hard, you can be anything you want to be.
